Affording Maui Prep

We understand that choosing an independent school is a major financial decision for many families, and we are committed to keeping tuition as affordable as possible.

Tuition covers approximately 75% of the true cost of educating a student at Maui Prep with the remaining balance coming from fundraising, grants, and gifts.

Financial Aid applications are due by February 28th. Students entering grades 1st through 12th are eligible to apply. The Financial Aid process is needs based.

    Installment Plan Fee: 5.5% of net tuition, automatically added to all accounts with two or more installments, and a TADS processing fee ($52 for monthly installments)
    Tuition Protection Plan Fee: 2.5% of net tuition, automatically added to all accounts with two or more installments, and a TADS processing fee ($52 for monthly installments)
    There will be a 5% tuition increase for enrollment after May 1st.

  • Tuition Delinquency Policy

    • 30-day Delinquency Policy: When tuition is 30 days delinquent, a letter will notify the parents that their tuition account is past due and request that they bring their account current within 10 days. Payment must be in the form of cash, certified check, or money order. Families are encouraged to call the Admissions Office to resolve the outstanding balance.
    • 60-day Delinquency Policy: When tuition is 60 days delinquent, a letter will notify the parents that their tuition account is past due and request that they bring their account current within 10 days. Report cards and progress reports will be withheld until the account is current or arrangements have been made. The withholding of report cards includes access to student files and transcripts. 
    • 90-day Delinquency Policy: When tuition is 90 days delinquent, parents have 10 days to respond or the student(s) will be unenrolled.  Report cards, transcripts, and student files will be held until the delinquent payments are made.  
    • A family may not enroll in Maui Preparatory Academy for a new school year unless tuition from the previous year has been paid in full.
