Kindergarten Through 5th Grade

The Maui Prep Lower School program is centered on our commitment to engage students in a rigorous academic program with an emphasis on developing:
  • essential reading and writing skills
  • verbal fluency
  • advanced technology skills
  • essential mathematical concepts and skills
  • historical concepts of time sequencing and geography
  • appreciation for the wonders and mysteries of science
  • a well-grounded exposure to visual art, music and drama

  • Performing Arts

    The Lower School Performing Arts program includes Miss Aida Rose (Music), Miss Kristi Scott (Drama), and Ms. Jackie Dowsett (Dance).  Lower School students attend performing arts classes twice a week with the following focus.

    Kindergarten and 1st
    • music - voice, rhythm (handbells, rhythm sticks, boomwhackers)
    • dance
    • drama
    2nd and 3rd
    • music - voice, note reading, rhythm, Suzuki tone chimes (melodic instrument)
    • dance
    • drama
    4th and 5th
    • music: Ukulele (accompanying instrument) voice, chord chart/tablature reading, rhythm
    • dance
    • drama
     

  • Lower School Drama After School Club

    Fall 2021 Lower School Productions
    2nd/3rd Grade: “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS”
    4th/5th Grade: “Annie KIDS"
    Both productions will run simultaneously and be performed on the same days.
    Performance dates are December 10-12, 2021 in the Bozich Center.
    Club fee $150
